Program Overview

60 Credit Transfer – 2+2
Students have the opportunity to complete up to two years of an American university degree program in Sri Lanka and seamlessly transfer to leading universities in the United States or Canada, including top-ranked institutions in California, Texas, New York, Florida, and beyond. With guaranteed credit transfers to ANC’s partner universities, the program has successfully facilitated the transfer of over 3,000 students to the US and Canada with an excellent visa success rate to-date.

Students receive their transcripts directly from the US, ensuring international recognition, while the program’s structured credit module guarantees a smooth academic transition to their chosen universities.

45 Credit Transfer – 1+3
Students have the opportunity to complete up to one year of an American university degree in Sri Lanka with ANC Education and seamlessly transfer to a prestigious university in the United States or Canada. This program has been designed for academically driven students who aspire to transition to the US or Canada early in their academic journey, providing a head start toward achieving their educational and career goals in an international setting.

Program Duration

1-2 years in Sri Lanka, and transfer to the US or Canada to complete the degree

Entry Requirements

Admission Requirements: GCE O/L Local /GCSE London Examination

• Passing GCE O/L Examination (Local Syllabus) with six (6) subjects in one sitting: 5 subjects out of 6 subjects passed should have credit; ‘C’, passes and
• English language requirement – Minimum of a credit pass; ‘C’, for English at GCE O/L Examination or IELTS minimum overall band score of 6.0 (overall) or a TOEFL score of 500 (paper based) / 173 (computer based) / 61 (Internet based) and
• Mathematics requirement – Minimum of an ordinary pass ‘S’(GCE), ‘E’(London), for Mathematics at O/L, Examination. with SAT requirement – Minimum SAT score of 800 within the first year of study (first 3 semesters) at ANC.

GCE O/L London Examination

• Passing GCE O/L London Examination with five (5) credit; ‘C’ passes and
• English language requirement – Minimum of a credit pass; ‘C’, for English at GCE O/L London Examination or IELTS minimum overall band score of 6.0 (overall) or a TOEFL score of 500 (paper based) / 173 (computer based) / 61 (Internet based) and
• Mathematics requirement – Minimum of an ordinary pass ‘S’(GCE), ‘E’(London), for Mathematics at O/L, Examination. with SAT requirement – Minimum SAT score of 800 within the first year of study (first 3 semesters) at ANC.

General Education Development Test (GED)

GED is a High School Equivalent Examination which is accepted by the Northwood University among many US universities as an admission requirement for those who have not completed the GCE O/L examination.

To complete the entry criteria, a student must have achieved a minimum score of 145 out of 200 for each of the 4 subjects namely, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Reasoning through Language Arts.

With SAT requirement – Minimum SAT score of 800 within the first year of study (first 3 semesters) at ANC.

Note:

• 5 credit passes can be taken from maximum two (2) exam sittings; two (2) GCE O/L Examination sittings with different subjects or a combination of GCE O/L and GCE A/L.
• AS Level grades (‘E’ and above) are considered as greater than or equal to O/L grades. However, AS Level and O/L subjects must be different
• 2 AS Level grades (‘E’ above) can be considered as one A/L subject
• ‘D’ or ‘E’ passes in London O/L is equivalent to “S” pass in Local O/L
• Students who are admitted to ANC with pending O/L results, must fulfill the above mentioned entry qualification criteria within the first trimester at ANC. Students who fail to fulfill this entry qualification requirement will be placed on LOA administratively from the immediate trimester.

Possible exceptions

Category 1: Students who have obtained a minimum grade “S” in two A/L exams along with a minimum of three C’s and three S’s in six O/L exams fulfill the ANC entry requirement. In such a case, a minimum grades “C” for English and “S” for Mathematics in two O/L exams are required. A minimum SAT score of 800 must be submitted to the Registrar’s office prior to the completion of the first year of study by Transfer students.

Category 2: Students who have obtained a minimum grade “S” in one A/L exam along with a minimum of four C’s and two S’s in six O/L exams fulfill the ANC entry requirement. In such a case, a minimum grades “C” for English and “S” for Mathematics in two O/L exams are required. A minimum SAT score of 800 must be submitted to the Registrar’s office prior to the completion of the first year of study by Transfer students.

Category 3: Students who are under the Northwood University (NU) Top-up Program must meet NU entry qualification requirements stipulated for students with advanced standing qualifications. In addition, they should also require to fulfill the ANC minimum entry requirement for NU Top-up students which is passing GCE O/L examination with five Credit Passes, along with a minimum of Credit pass for English and a Simple Pass for Mathematics.
